The photoshoot will take place on-site at your hospital of delivery, we only need a small space in your room
The photoshoot normally lasts only ten to fifteen minutes
We typically photograph all babies on the morning of their first full day at the hospital. While it is also possible for your shoot to take place on the day before discharge, we typically do not take photos on the day of discharge unless there is a medical reason for the delay
We encourage mom, dad, and siblings to participate in the shoot. We are typically at the hospital from the morning until early afternoon, depending on how many new babies require photos, and will try to accommodate you as much as our schedule permits
While we keep things simple by staging baby with a plain white sheet, we absolutely encourage you to bring a favourite baby blanket or shawl from home to use in the shoot. A beautiful blanket can add texture, colour and unique memories to your newborn's photos
We love to include mom and dad's hands in our photos. Since baby should be the focus of the photos, we advise wearing neutral nail polish and removing any distracting jewellery for the shoot. It is also a good idea to bring a dark-coloured shirt to wear in the photos; we may photograph your baby in your arms and solid/dark colours look great in both colour and black-and-white prints
Please let your nurses know you are interested in BM! Baby pictures and sign the consent form to allow us to photograph your baby in NICU. The session will be completed when the nurse tells us your baby is ready for pictures
